SunTrust Private Wealth Management offices are organized into seven regions each managed by a SunTrust Investment Services representative.
Shannon serves as the manager for the Virginia Area in Private Wealth Management at SunTrust. She leads teams of wealth management advisors located through-out Virginia, from Norfolk to Richmond to Roanoke. She joined Private Wealth Management in October, 2003 as the Wealth Services and Sales Manager in Richmond, VA and has served in a series of leadership positions for the Region.
Previous leadership positions at SunTrust include the Mid-Atlantic Senior Finance Officer from January 2000 to October 2003 and head of Crestar Financial Corporation’s (a SunTrust predecessor) Merger & Acquisitions division from 1989 until 1998, when Crestar merged with SunTrust.
Carter is a graduate of the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce with a B.S. Finance and earned a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Shannon also holds Series 7, 24 and 65 securities registrations and life and health insurance licenses.
E. Jerry Coleman, III
A native of Columbus, GA., he joined Trust Company Bank as a banking officer before moving to a sales position with Burroughs Corporation in South Carolina and then Albrights, Inc. back in Columbus, GA. Jerry resumed his banking career with SunTrust Bank in 1986. He was named to his current position of Executive Vice President and Private Wealth Management Line of Business Manager for Tennessee in 2008.
Jerry was Chairman of Leadership Columbus and served on the Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Clubs and United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. Additionally, he was President of The Country Club of Columbus and a member of the administrative board of St. Paul United Methodist Church. His hobbies include golf and running.
Jerry earned his BS degree in Business Administration from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., in 1980, and a MBA degree in Finance from Auburn University.
Residing in Nashville, Jerry and his wife, Allison, are the parents of four sons ranging from 13 to 28 years of age.
Jeffrey T. Dunn
Born in 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jeff moved to Tampa in 1997.
His banking career started with M& T Bank in Buffalo where he worked as a Corporate Banker for six years and was promoted to Vice President of Commercial Banking. In 1997, Mr. Dunn joined SunTrust Bank as a Vice President and Commercial Banker and in 2000 he moved to Private Client Services as a Relationship Manager for high net worth clients in the Tampa market. In 2002, he was named Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Sales Manager for the Tampa Region. In 2003, he was named Executive Vice President and Head of Private Wealth and Investment Management for the Tampa Region. He currently oversees Wealth & Investment Management for the West Coast of Florida He is responsible for directing the sales and service efforts of 125 employees with assets under management in excess of $6 billion.
Mr. Dunn graduated from the La Salle University 1987 with a BS in Management and graduated from Niagara University in 1990 with an MBA in Finance. He is a graduate of the Leadership Tampa class of 2003. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. He is on the Board of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of St. Petersburg and previously served as President of the Foundation. He also serves on the Finance Council for the Diocese of St. Petersburg. He is also member of the Tampa Club. He and his wife, Susan, have three children: Liam, Rosalie, and Erin. They reside in Tampa.
John R. Frazer
After relocating back to Atlanta, John Frazer currently serves as Executive Vice President, Private Wealth Management Manager for SunTrust’s Wealth & Investment Management Line of Business for all of Georgia. He started in this role on June 1, 2009.
On May 9, 2007, John was named President and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank, Memphis Region and served as Executive Vice President and head of the Memphis Region’s Private Wealth Management Line of Business. Prior to moving to Memphis, he served as a Private Client Advisor in Atlanta. He has held numerous relationship management positions in the Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking areas. Prior to joining Private Client Services, John was a relationship manager in the Corporate Bank, covering the Atlanta and Alabama markets.
John is a 1986 graduate of The Citadel with a BA in History. After college graduation, as an airborne ranger infantry officer, he served three years in the 82nd Airborne Division, USA. In 1998, John received his diploma from The Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. John also holds Series 7, 24 and 66 securities registrations and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Active in the community, John currently serves as a board member for East Lake Community Foundation, The Friends of First Tee at East Lake, The Georgia Trust, and Emory Winship Cancer Institute. He is married with two daughters and a son.
North and South Carolina
Pattie currently serves as the Executive Vice President of SunTrust Bank’s Private Wealth Management division for the Carolinas. In this role, her responsibilities include oversight of eleven Private Wealth Management offices which provides financial advice to legal firms, partners, medical practices, physicians, business owners and individuals of wealth.
She began her SunTrust career in 1985 in Macon, Georgia. In 1988, Pattie moved to Columbus, Georgia where she worked in Retail Banking, Mortgage Banking and Private Wealth Management until 2002. In 2002, she and her family moved to Savannah, Georgia, to assist the bank with merging several markets into the Georgia Region Private Wealth Management. In 2005, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to assist with merger and integration of SunTrust Private Wealth Management in the Carolinas.
Pattie is a graduate of Mercer University, Macon, Georgia. Pattie is married to Robert Imperial, a law partner with Williams Mullen. They have two children and reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Pattie’s past community involvement has included Board Member and/or Trustee for City of Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Historic Columbus Foundation, Southwest Georgia Chapter Arthritis Foundation, and Chairman of Deacons to First Presbyterian of Columbus, Georgia and past President of Columbus Lawyers Auxiliary. She is an alumna of Leadership Columbus. Currently, Pattie is a member of Triangle United Way Women’s Leadership Counsel, White Memorial Presbyterian Church Step Up Committee and Junior League. Pattie will be an upcoming Board Member of Dress for Success. Pattie facilitates a work-life balance session as part of the Georgia region mentoring program. Pattie enjoys the Arts, music, and working with organizations that help women and children.
Brian J. MacDonnell
Greater Washington / Maryland
Brian MacDonnell currently serves as the Executive Vice President & Area Line of Business Manager in Private Wealth Management for GWR/MD Region. Brian joined SunTrust in May of 2006 as Team Leader in the SunTrust Tyson's Office and shortly thereafter took on the additional role of Wealth Services Manager. Brian joined SunTrust from J.P. Morgan Chase where he held numerous management positions including Market Manager for the Manhattan Region. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Brian ran various Retail operations for Citibank over a ten year period.
Brian is a graduate of George Mason University and he and his family reside in Northern Virginia.
Brian also is a supporter of the National Heart Walk, March of Dimes, United Way Campaign and the Capital Area Community Food Bank.
He is a Board Member of Inova Health System Foundation, Greater Washington Region American Heart Association, Centerville Boosters (Club Member) and American College of Cardiology (Committee Member/Policy Writing Committee).
Julie Wolf joined SunTrust in 2002. She is responsible for the East Florida Area, Private Wealth Management Group. Ms. Wolf has 25 years of experience in asset management, estate planning and trust administration.
Prior to her affiliation with financial organizations, Ms. Wolf practiced law in the areas of tax and estate planning.
Julie received a B.A. in English from the University of Florida as well as a J.D. and LLM in Taxation. Julie also holds Series 7, 24 and Series 65 securities registrations and Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity License.
Julie served as the past chair of the Community Foundation of Central Florida, past president of the Orlando Museum of Art, Central Florida Association of Women lawyers and the Estate Planning Council Central Florida.
