Stephen Yarbrough

Head of SunTrust Institutional Investment Solutions
Stephen’s responsibilities include management of SunTrust’s Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice, Employee Benefit Solutions and Escrow Services business units. His team serves a wide range of institutions including foundations, public charities, healthcare organizations, associations and corporations. Together, these businesses provide specialized solutions in discretionary investment management, advisory and consultative services for over 1,800 clients with more than $40bn in assets.

Across Institutional Investment Solutions, Stephen has fostered a culture focused on delivering expertise that meets our clients’ unique needs.  This has resulted in both long-lasting client relationships as well as high teammate engagement. In 2014, the Foundation and Endowment Specialty Practice was named “One of the Best Places to Work” by Pensions and Investments magazine.

Stephen has over 20 years of experience within the investment management industry. During his career, Stephen has held a variety of leadership and strategy roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, Stephen served as the Director of Operations with RidgeWorth Capital Management. In this role, Stephen had responsibility for the client service, technology and trading teams.

Stephen graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1990 with a B.A. in Economics. He received a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Stephen’s commitment to the community is evident in his leadership at several organizations. He is a member of the board of trustees at the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and serves on the board of advisors for both A. G. Rhodes Health and Rehabilitation as well as Girls on the Run.

Elizabeth Cabell Jennings, CFA, CAIA

Director of Institutional Investments
Elizabeth Cabell Jennings, Director of Institutional Investments, leads the team of Investment Advisors that works with clients of SunTrust Bank's Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice in communities throughout SunTrust’s markets. Customized services include Outsourced Chief Investment Officer, investment advisory, planned giving administration, foundation and grants management and custodial services, all with the goal of partnering with our clients to achieve their missions.

In her twenty-eight year career, she has held leading investment positions including heading the Regional Institutional and High Net Worth investment advisory team at Thompson, Siegel and Walmsley, LLC (TS&W) in Richmond, Virginia. Her additional roles at TS&W included client portfolio manager, equity portfolio lead manager and equity analyst. She has also worked as a consultant to nonprofit organizations to evaluate and select investment managers and OCIO providers.

A Virginia native, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The College of William and Mary and a Master of Business Administration from the internationally focused joint program of IE Institute and Brown University. She has also earned the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Elizabeth has served as Investment Committee and Board member at the College of William and Mary Foundation and is presently Investment Committee Chair and Board member at the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria. She also serves as a Board member and Investment Advisory Committee member at the City of Richmond Retirement System. She is presently Co-Chairing the Capital Campaign of the Richmond Symphony as well as serving on the boards of Hollywood Cemetery and the American Civil War Museum in Richmond.

Sean Brady

Director of Client Development
Sean Brady is the Director of Client Development for SunTrust Bank's Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice. Sean’s responsibilities include leading the business development officers, RFP team, and market analysts.

Prior to joining SunTrust in 2015, Sean spent 15 years with Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in various leadership positions. Most recently, Sean served as the Regional Director of the Southeast for (GSAM's) Bank Team. While at GSAM, Sean was a senior member of a distribution team that provided sales and relationship management coverage to all bank and trust companies domestically. Coverage responsibilities also included several bank owned broker-dealers, RIAs, and multi-family offices. Primary responsibilities included coverage of mutual fund, SMA and alternative investment due diligence teams, CIOs, portfolio managers, BDOs, RMs, operations, and strategy teams for private wealth management, retirement services, corporate trust and capital markets business units.

Sean is a graduate of Montana State University-Bozeman where he earned a B.S. in Business with a Finance Concentration.

Michael T. Hill

Managing Director
Director of Institutional Consulting
Mike Hill joined SunTrust in 1999 as a portfolio manager and team member for the firm’s flagship Large Cap Core equity strategy. As an Investment Manager for the Foundations & Endowments Specialty Practice, Mike is responsible for day-to-day portfolio monitoring, investment policy development and review, and strategic consulting for not-for-profit relationships.

Prior to joining SunTrust, Mike was director of proprietary fixed income trading as a partner with J.C. Bradford & Co. In addition to proprietary trading, he managed debt structuring and origination for institutional clients.

Mike is active in the not-for-profit community and serves on several boards in his community. He attended the University of Tennessee and Belmont University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and also a Bachelor of Business Administration. Mike is a member of the CFA Institute and Nashville Society of Financial Analysts.

Philip Millians

Senior Vice President
Director of Client Service
Philip Millians is responsible for client service delivery within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice. In this role, Philip manages a team of Client Managers who are responsible for matching client needs with administrative and investment solutions.

Philip volunteers his time with many civic and community service organizations and presently serves on the Advisory Board for the Shepherd Center, Legacy Gifts Committee for The Lovett School and the Foundation’s Committee for the Woodruff Arts Center Annual Campaign. In addition, Philip is an Elder with Peachtree Presbyterian Church, a member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 1999, the Georgia Planned Giving Council and is a past Chairman on the Foundation’s Committee for the Woodruff Arts Center Annual Campaign.

An Atlanta native, Philip earned his BA degree in Economics from the University of Georgia. He is also a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).

Randy Karesh

Senior Vice President
Director of Planned Giving Services
With over 26 years of industry experience, Randy has management responsibility for all of SunTrust’s Planned Giving products and services for not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining SunTrust in 2005, Randy served as Vice President and Charitable Advisor with Wachovia Bank, NA. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Endowment Development with the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and Investment Advisor with Merrill Lynch and NationsBanc Securities.

Randy serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Georgia Planned Giving Council and is a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. He is also a volunteer with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Randy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina.

Quanda Allen

Group Vice President
Director of Practice Development
Quanda Allen is Group Vice President and Director of Practice Development within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice. In this role, Quanda serves as the marketing and business strategist for the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice.

Quanda joined SunTrust in December of 2012 after 5 years with U. S. Trust/Bank of America Corporation, most recently having served as Senior Vice President and Senior Philanthropic Relationship Manager in Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC. Prior to her financial services experience, Quanda led the development, community engagement and marketing functions at several large Atlanta-based nonprofit organizations. She also worked as an associate consultant at Bain and Company. At present, Quanda is a frequent contributor to thought leadership white papers, podcasts, and presentations on a wide variety of topics including nonprofit governance, endowment spending policy, and investment committee dynamics.

Quanda earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University. She is also a graduate of Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies with a Master’s in Urban Policy Studies and Not-for-Profit Management. In 2012, she completed the Columbia University Graduate School’s Women’s Leadership Program and earned a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation (CAP®).

Quanda volunteers her time with several organizations. She is a member of the Contemporaries at The Phillips Collection and a board member of Transformer. She chairs the African-American Teammate Network for the SunTrust Greater Washington Diversity Council and holds active membership in the D. C. chapter of the Junior League. In 2009, Quanda was recognized by Outstanding Atlanta for her exemplary civic engagement and professional accomplishments. In 2015, she was recognized with a SunTrust Presidential Milestone Volunteer Award.
