At SunTrust Mortgage, we have created several convenient options for handling your payments. The list below highlights the different ways you can make your monthly mortgage payment.

1. Make a One-Time Payment

How it works:

  • Log on to Your Account to sign up. Enter your payment details and bank account information. Authorize a one-time debit1 from your bank account.
  • Please note: You can submit one payment per effective date. If more than one payment is submitted for the same effective date, only the last payment submitted will be accepted. Please pick two separate effective dates if you wish to make more than one payment.
  • Additional payments to principal will not be allowed if your account is not current.
  • Maximum amount to be paid through the One-Time Payment Option is $10,000.
  • Cost: Free (sign up today).


2. Set up Recurring Payments (SurePaySM)

How it works:

  • Authorize a recurring monthly debit1 from your bank account. To use this service:
  • You can log on to Your Account to sign up or mail in the form to set up recurring payments. You can click here to download the form.
  • Cost: Free (sign up today).


3. The Bi-Weekly® Mortgage Payment Plan*

How it works:

  • During your first month of enrollment, you must pay both your regular monthly payment plus your two half payments; after set up you will start paying half of the total monthly mortgage payment every two weeks (set up automatic debit).1
  • Go from 12 full mortgage payments to 26 half payments in most years, which means you make the equivalent of one full extra mortgage payment per year.
  • The two extra half payments go straight to principal building equity in your home faster so you can pay off your home loan sooner.

*If the Bi-Weekly payment set up or payments do not work for your budget, try our SurePay automated draft payment program which allows you to accomplish a similar goal when you add an extra amount to be drafted and applied to your loan balance. 4. Pay Online through your SunTrust Bank account

How it works:

  • You have 24-hour access to your SunTrust account(s) from which you can pay all your bills electronically.
  • To use this service: Go to suntrust.com to sign up for SunTrust Online Banking and Bill Pay.
  • Cost: Free (sign up today).
