Hurricane Update

Our thoughts are with our clients, teammates and communities impacted by Hurricane Michael. We know that many families face challenging times ahead as we recover following the storm. We are committed to doing everything we can to ease stress and support your financial well-being in this difficult time. To that end, we are taking the following actions for clients in FEMA-declared major disaster areas:

  • For clients with SunTrust-serviced mortgages, credit cards, consumer loans and lines of credit, we are:  
    • Initiating disaster assistance accommodations, upon request.
      • For your SunTrust mortgage: 800.443.1032
      • For your SunTrust credit card, consumer loan or line of credit: 844.395.5042
    • Proactively suspending late payment fees and late-payment credit reporting to credit bureaus for a period of 90 days.
  • For clients with SunTrust checking accounts, we will refund overdraft fees, as well as fees and related surcharges for non-SunTrust ATMs, from October 10 through October 19, upon request.   

The SunTrust Foundation is contributing to the American Red Cross and other disaster relief organizations to support communities impacted by Hurricane Michael. SunTrust branches will also accept financial donations for the American Red Cross relief efforts through November 30, 2018.
