[Chapter One: Overview]
Discover a modern user experience, easy-to-use tools, a personalized workspace, enhanced information reporting, streamlined payments, and multilayered security to protect your information and systems.
This demonstration will show you how to customize your workspace with widgets, create payments and transfers, manage your accounts, and set up contacts and alerts. To explore individual chapters, simply go to the main menu and select the chapter you wish to review.
[Chapter Two: Getting Started]
When you log in to Digital Treasury, you will see five tabs on the top of your screen: Home, Payments & Transfers, Fraud/Risk Management, Reporting, and Administration and Settings. Under each of the tabs are workspaces, where you’ll perform your tasks. Your workspaces are customizable so you can apply the widgets that best fit your needs. Home is the default workspace you see after logging in. Here, you will find the Notifications, Simple Entry, and Account Summary widgets already in place.
[Chapter Three: Navigation]
Each workspace comes with defined widgets, but widgets can be easily added, removed, rearranged, or resized, which allows your workspace to be fully customizable. Add Widgets based on your entitlements from the drop-down menu located in the right side of the navigation bar above your workspace.
You might want to add the widgets that correspond with your most frequent tasks to your Home workspace. For example, let’s add the Payments widget. Simply click the Add Widget dropdown and select Payments List View. The widget has now been added to the bottom of your workspace. Clicking on the gear icon within the widget opens the widget menu, which allows you to remove or resize your widget or ask for help. You can move them around, and the layout of widgets is automatically saved.
When you click on a specific widget or notification, you’ll be brought to a list view. You can use the defined list views provided or customize your own. Add or remove columns by clicking the gear icon in the table header and drag and drop to rearrange them. Once you’ve created the view that works best for you, you can save it for future use and even set it as a default.
[Chapter Four: Notifications]
Here, you’ll be alerted to all items that need your attention. Simply click View next to the notification you'd like to access, and you’ll automatically be taken to the workspace to complete the request.
[Chapter Five: Payments & Transfers]
To create a payment, go to the Payments & Transfers tab and select Payment Management. Here, you can view the status of your payments and create new payments. There are three ways to create a new payment: free form, template, and file import. The same process is followed for transfers — merely select Transfer Management to access the transfer workspace.
[Chapter Five A: Free Form Payments & Payment Status]
To begin, click Add a New Payment. Then, click on Select Payment Type and create payments in free form by filling out the required fields to submit for approval. You can also auto-submit a payment from a template by clicking Quick Entry and selecting the Template for the payment you'd like to process before adding the date and the amount. Through File Import, you can use the standard import maps provided or create custom import maps to work with your existing file layouts. Learn more about creating import maps in chapter eight.
Let's walk through a free-form domestic wire payment. Begin by clicking Add a New Payment, then choose Wire-Domestic from the Select a Payment Type drop-down and click Continue. Most fields have a lookup feature, or will automatically validate the entry for you, which saves time and helps minimize mistakes before the payment is submitted. Start by adding the Account Number then beneficiary information. Or to save time, choose a beneficiary you previously saved in your Contact Center by clicking on the magnifying glass icon above the Name field. The information automatically populates. Scroll down to input the date and Credit amount. Check over your information and click Submit.
To see the status of your payments, return to the Payments Management workspace to see a list view of your payment status. If you have approver entitlements, you can approve payments one at a time or in bulk. To approve multiple payments at one time, select them using the checkboxes and click Approve. Then enter your token code when prompted. When you approve a payment, a green Payment Approval message will display at the top of your workspace as confirmation. To approve each payment individually, click View next to the payment you'd like to review to see all the payment details. At the bottom, click Approve to release the payment for processing.
Payments can be easily exported and printed by using the export and print function icons on the top right-hand side of the widget. To export, let's choose ACH, then click NACHA, click View Downloads and the hyperlink takes you to the Download workspace where you can extract the export. To print, select which payment or payments you want to print from the list, click the printer icon, and follow the prompts to print.
[Chapter Five B: Real-Time Payments]
The Real-Time Payments workspace has a similar look and feel to the Payments Management workspace and also functions similarly. Digital Treasury takes full advantage of the messaging capabilities of Real-Time Payments and displays them in a simple chat format for quick, easy communication. New messages are indicated by a counter at the top right. You can view all your messages under the Messages column below. Click the unread message to show your conversation and easily respond to your trading partner’s inquiry here. Your conversation is then stored directly within the payment.
[Chapter Five C: Transfers]
The Transfers Management workspace is similar to the Payments workspace. The key difference is the ability to make freeform single, multiple, one-to-many, or many-to-one transfers. Let's create a one-to-many transfer. Click Add Transfer then within the pop-up menu choose One-to-Many in the Select Payment Type drop-down and click Continue. The system will default to show one From Account and one To Account, but you can add as many accounts as you want by typing in your desired number in the box below and clicking Add. You can also enter Default Transfer Reference and Default Transfer Time and apply it to all. If you toggle the Optional Fields button to on, you will get additional entry fields. Once you complete the form, hit Submit.
[Chapter Five D: Stop Payments & Check Inquiry]
Within the Payments & Transfers tab, you also have a Stop Payments workspace. Here, you can add a new stop request or cancel a stop request. To do either, click Add New Stop Request or Add Cancel Stop Request, fill in the mandatory form sections, click submit and your request will be ready for approval or auto-approved based on your entitlements. You can also import a file of stopped payments.
In the Check Inquiry workspace, you can search the status of checks. There are two input options you can view - checks paid, or checks stopped. Under the Checks Paid Inquiry, you can view an image of the front and back of the check, invert the color, rotate, zoom, save, or print. To view checks stopped, select Checks Stopped Inquiry. You can choose to Cancel Stop and your change will be reflected in the Check Inquiry workspace.
[Chapter Six: Fraud / Risk Management]
The Payment Fraud Control workspace allows you to manage accounts with Positive Pay or Reverse Positive Pay using the Payment Fraud Control Widget and the Check Issue Management Widget. Digital Treasury makes it easy to act quickly by alerting you of items awaiting your decision via email alerts, the Digital Treasury notifications widget, and Truist OneView. Simply click the link on the notification to launch directly into the Payment Fraud Control Widget.
Within the Widget, the Today's Decisions tab shows a list view summary of Accounts by Type including the total number of items and transactions with a Pay or Return Decision. The Decision History tab allows you to view past decisions. To address the items awaiting your decision, click View to review the items, then select Pay or Return. You can select Fraud or Other as the Return Reason and then click OK to finalize the review. To view an image or other details of individual items, select View from the Actions menu.
The Check Issue Management Widget allows you to manage check issues and voids for Positive Pay accounts. There are two tabs within this Widget, Check Issues/Voids which lists all manually entered or imported issue/void items, and the Imported Files tab, which lists all imported files and allows for new imports or approvals. If you need to create individual check issues, return to the Check Issues/Voids tab, click Add Check Issue/Void, enter the required fields, and click Submit.
[Chapter Seven: Reporting]
The core of the Reporting Tab is the Balance and Transaction Reporting workspace, which also defaults to the Home page. Find all your balance and transaction reporting within this workspace via the Account Summary Widget. See all accounts that you're entitled to and organize them with dynamic, interactive, customizable list views. You can use the gear icon to select additional columns, and easily drag and drop them in the list view to best fit your needs. This works the same way for any list view. You have multiple options for viewing and retrieving balances and transaction information via the five tabs: All Accounts, Current Day Cash, Account Groups, Custom Reporting, and Transaction Search.
To drill down within an account, click on the account number to view transactions. Here, you’ll also see another view of your real-time balance and intra-day transaction details. Within this list view, you can also create and save your own custom view from the dropdown list on the right-hand side or view another account from the View Another Account dropdown menu above it.
The Current Day Cash tab provides a clear picture of your intraday cash position. You can simply apply filters to this page by picking from the dropdown Select Fields menu. If you want to filter on more than one column, click Manage Filters and apply your desired filters.
In the Account Group tab, you can create custom account groups based on your preference.
This is especially helpful if you have numerous accounts to manage.
Custom reporting allows you to create your own views and reports from scratch. This is another example of how account groups can be useful.
The Transaction Search tab is helpful if you are searching for a particular transaction. This function acts as a one-off search that cannot be saved.
In the Download Widget, you can download balance and transaction data in a variety of formats. Anytime you click Export, your export will be added to the download list with an In Progress status. Once your export status is complete, click the dropdown next to View and Select Download. Recent Downloads are stored here.
The Reports Management Widget is where you can access pre-formatted reports, customize them, and export as PDF, CSV, or plain text. Any report you create and save can also be shared with other users.
Visit eStatements to access electronic copies of statements for your deposit accounts, loans, account reconciliation, and many other services.
The Schedule Export feature lets users set up a schedule for exporting reports data in a variety of formats. All Scheduled Exports and Reports appear in the Download widget. To access the Scheduled Export widget, select Scheduled Export from the Reporting menu.
If you want to search for an image, the Image Search Widget allows you to search by multiple image types. Choose the image type, fill in the remaining information, and click Search. All images fitting your criteria will be displayed. Click Image Retrieval to view the image preview.
[Chapter Eight: Administration and Settings]
The User Maintenance Widget allows company administrators to view and modify each users’ entitlements. New Users are added or deleted in Truist OneView, but specific entitlements related to account level access and payments are all set in Digital Treasury. The opening list view shows all of the users for your company. To modify an existing user, click on View next to their name and select Modify. Here, you can define a user, set permissions, assign accounts, and apply approval limits. You can grant access to any company services to a specific user, and assign permissions by payment type or payment group. Although there are a lot of options, navigation is still easy and intuitive. There are enough controls in place for your company to get down to granular permission options, and enough flexibility needed for customization and multiple approvals.
The Contact Center works like an address book for businesses or individuals you transact with frequently. You can easily add new contacts by simply clicking Add New Contact, or view existing contacts in your list view. When adding a new payment, a new contact can be used as soon as it is approved. For an example of how to easily use existing contacts, visit chapter 5A.
The Import Center provides a single location for accessing and managing imported files. Customizable import maps accommodate a wide array of needs and services. In order to create Import Maps, click Add Import Map, fill in the required information, note the field number for mandatory fields, add additional fields, and save. By creating your own import maps, you can seamlessly upload information from your existing systems into Digital Treasury.
The Alerts Widget allows for automatic email alerts when certain conditions occur. Based on your entitlements, you can create new alerts to be sent to individual recipients or recipient groups. Most alerts can be easily configured so you’ll only be notified under the unique conditions you specify.
Finally, Digital Treasury maintains a detailed history of the tasks performed by each user. Use the Audit Information Widget to search this data and run audit reports.
[Chapter Nine: Closing]
