  • Destroy any pre-approved credit offers that you don’t intend to use

Limit paper statements to safeguard your privacy

Eliminate paper with your personal information on it and increase your security by:

  • Reducing the amount of mail you receive that displays personal information.
  • Shredding unnecessary financial documents before throwing them away.
  • Signing up for Online Banking and receiving your statement electronically.
  • Signing up for Direct Deposit to have your funds put directly in your account.

Protect yourself from fraudulent e-mail offers

SunTrust will never send e-mails asking for personal or account information, such as passwords, credit or check card numbers or Social Security numbers. In most instances, we will not send you e-mails unless you have initiated an e-mail dialogue with us or you have previously requested us to communicate with you in this manner.
