About

Latresa McLawhorn Ryan is a Client Manager within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice at SunTrust Bank. Latresa offers clients more than 15 years of client management and nonprofit experience. She earned the professional designation of Juris Doctorate and is a graduate of Spelman College and the University of North Carolina School of Law. As a Client Manager, Latresa is a key, strategic advisor to new and existing relationships. She provides deep nonprofit insight and expertise to clients in addition to overseeing the administration of accounts.

Latresa joined the SunTrust Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice in January 2014. She began her career as an attorney at Arent Fox, PLLC, a large law firm in Washington, DC, before opening her own boutique law firm specializing in estate planning and nonprofit law. She is a member of the Georgia and District of Columbia Bar Associations. Most recently, Latresa was the Director of the Office of Partnerships and Global Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Development at Operation HOPE where she focused on cultivating strategic partnerships and led the fundraising and development activities across the organization.

Latresa volunteers her time with several civic and community service organizations. She serves as chairman of the Grove Park Foundation, board member and treasurer for the Georgia Planned Giving Council, as well as an Endowment Committee member for the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She is also delighted to serve as a member of the United Way of Greater Atlanta Community Engagement Council and the Grady Ambassador Force.
