3Earn Cash Back Rewards of 1% on new Qualifying Purchases. Qualifying Purchases means any new qualifying net retail purchase transactions (qualifying purchases less credits, returns and adjustments) charged to any SunTrust Business Credit Card (Card) each billing cycle. Each Qualifying Purchase will earn 3% Cash Back, of which 1% is the base rate and 2% is a bonus, on the first $500 spent during each billing cycle in the aggregate at participating gas stations and office supply retailers [Merchant Category classification (MCC) codes 5021, 5111, 5172, 5541, 5542, and 5543] and 1% in those categories thereafter. A Qualifying Purchase is determined to qualify for the additional bonus reward rate if the merchant assigns the appropriate MCC code to the transaction information received by SunTrust. SunTrust is not responsible for inaccurate reporting by participating merchants. Wholesale clubs and discount stores (MCC codes 5300, 5310) will earn 0.25%. All other MCC codes not specified will earn 1%. Balance transfers, cash advances, purchases of cash equivalents, fees, finance charges, fraudulent charges, unauthorized charges, and certain other charges are not Qualifying Purchases and do not qualify for Cash Back Rewards. There is no limit to the amount of Cash Back Rewards that may be earned or redeemed. Cash Back Rewards credits expire after 5 years. Cash Back Rewards credits are redeemable on demand in U.S. dollar increments of $25 with a minimum of $25 and a maximum of the lesser of either the total Cash Back Rewards credits available or the current account balance. Cash Back Rewards credits will be issued in the form of a statement credit that may be applied against the balance of the Card, but which may not be used to create a negative balance on the account.
