Adrienne Nelson is a region trust advisor, family wealth specialist and senior vice president with GenSpring | SunTrust Private Wealth in the South Florida Region. Adrienne specializes in providing multi-generational wealth transfer planning and estate and trust services to high net worth individuals, families and business owners. In addition, Adrienne facilitates family meetings on topics such as family communication, values and philanthropy. She offers her clients more than 25 years of wealth management experience. Adrienne advises clients on the development and implementation of wealth management strategies particularly using trust vehicles to help clients meet their immediate and future goals for themselves and their families. Adrienne also consults on risk management, asset protection, estate planning, retirement planning, and other critical financial strategies.
Adrienne’s prior experience includes serving as regional trust advisor for SunTrust in the Greater DC market, as Washington DC regional manager and market executive for trust and private banking at Bank of America and its predecessors, and other trust positions with banks in Maryland, New York and Dallas.
Adrienne has earned the professional designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Broward County, the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council and the Washington, DC Estate Planning Council. Adrienne is a member of the Bar in New York, Virginia, Texas and Washington, DC.
A native of New York City, she earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, an M.S. from Hunter College and a B.A. from Finch College. In her spare time, Adrienne enjoys golf and the beach. She and her husband live in South Florida and have two grown sons.
