What is SunTrust Deals?

SunTrust Deals is a rewards program that provides SunTrust Online and Mobile Banking clients with personalized offers to earn cash back for using their SunTrust credit or debit card when making purchases at participating retailers. The more you use your card, the more offers you can receive and the more money you can earn.

Do I need to enroll in SunTrust Deals?

No, if you have a SunTrust credit or debit card and are enrolled in SunTrust Online or Mobile Banking, SunTrust Deals is automatically available to you.

Is there a fee for using SunTrust Deals?

There is no fee to clients to use SunTrust Deals. This program is just one of the many benefits of banking with SunTrust.

Will all of my cards be eligible for SunTrust Deals?

All SunTrust consumer credit and debit cards are eligible for SunTrust Deals and are automatically enrolled to participate in the program. Clients need to have access to SunTrust Online or Mobile Banking to use the program.

How do I earn rewards?

Program offers are based on how you use your SunTrust card. Offers presented are tailored to your purchases to ensure they are relevant to you. The more you use your SunTrust card, the more likely you are to receive offers. To earn cash back, visit SunTrust Deals in Online Banking or the Mobile App and click to select deals you would like to take advantage of at your favorite retailers. You will earn cash back next time you make a qualifying purchase at those retailers using your SunTrust card. The cash back will be automatically credited to your account (either your SunTrust checking or as a statement credit to your SunTrust Credit Card), which could take up to 8 weeks from the date of your purchase.

Where do I go to see offers?

SunTrust Deals are conveniently displayed as soon as you log in to SunTrust Online Banking or the Mobile App. A set of personalized offers will be displayed by default but you may tap to see them all. You’ll see available offers for activation, earned and expired offers, as well as the specific details for each offer.

Do I need a code or coupon for an offer?

Clients do not need a coupon or code to take advantage of an offer. However, each offer has different specifications. Clients should read the offer details to determine what is needed to qualify for each offer.

How long do I have to redeem an offer?

Each offer has an offer period set by the retailer. Offers must be used before the expiration date. The expiration date can be found in the details of each offer.

Someone I know received an offer I want. How do I receive that offer?

Since offers are based on personalized use of your SunTrust cards, you may not always receive the same offers another client has received.

Can retailers see my account or card of any other personal information when they make offers available to me?

No. SunTrust does not provide personal card or account information to retailers or service providers for the purpose of designing or providing reward offers to you. Participating retailers and service providers will not know that you, personally, have received any particular reward offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I stop getting offers?

In Online Banking, click on “My Settings” in the top right corner and select “CASH BACK DEALS”. Then, go to Settings and select “NO” for “Display SunTrust Deals”.

In the Mobile App, go to your “Settings” menu and choose “SunTrust Deals”. Here you can toggle the display on and off. In your mobile app, you can also choose to hide or show the offers from My Accounts.

Turning off deals will block offer display in both Online and Mobile Banking. Any pending credits will still be deposited into your account.

Will I still earn program rewards if I turn off or opt out of SunTrust Deals?

Turning off SunTrust Deals will no longer display offers within Online or Mobile Banking. Rewards earned prior to opting-out will be credited to your preferred account. You will not receive future offers unless you re-enroll in the program.

Where do I receive my rewards?

In the SunTrust Deals Settings, you can select where you want SunTrust to deposit the cash back you earn from your purchases.

When do I receive my rewards?

Your rewards will be credited to your preferred account usually within eight weeks from the date of your purchase.

Whom should I contact if I have questions about SunTrust Deals?

How will SunTrust Deals work with my existing SunTrust Credit Card rewards program?

SunTrust Deals is a separate reward option and is not connected to your existing SunTrust Credit Card Rewards Program. SunTrust Deals allows you to earn cash back at retailers based on the “deal” that is promoted. The cash back you earn with SunTrust Deals will not be deposited into your SunTrust Credit Card rewards program but directly to your SunTrust Checking account or as a statement credit to your SunTrust Credit Card.

Will SunTrust Deals cash back qualify for a Cash Deposit Bonus?

No – The cash back earned through SunTrust Deals does not qualify for a Cash Deposit Bonus. In addition, there is no Cash Deposit Bonus match for the cash earned through SunTrust Deals.
