About

Laura Galaida is a Client Manager within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice at SunTrust Bank. Laura offers clients 11 years of client management and nonprofit experience. She is a candidate for the designation of Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA), has earned a Certificate in Global Philanthropy from NYU and is a graduate of Connecticut College. As a Client Manager, Laura is a key, strategic advisor to new and existing relationships. She provides deep nonprofit insight and expertise to clients in addition to overseeing the administration of accounts.

Before joining SunTrust, Laura spent five years in fundraising at Charitybuzz, the leader in online charity auctions, first as an account manager in New York City and then managing business development in the DC region. Prior to Charitybuzz, Laura worked at Sotheby's Auction House in several decorative arts departments overseeing sales administration, managing compliance and working with high-net worth clients.

Laura is very active in the nonprofit community, serving as Co-Chair of the Washington Performing Arts Junior Board and Membership Chair of The Phillips Collection Contemporaries Steering Committee. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Junior League of Washington, supporting the Strategic Planning and Community Training Committees. In New York, Laura volunteered weekly with Free Arts and fundraised annually for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
