After an extended, steady recovery, small business owners are optimistic about their business’s strength. According to 2017 SunTrust Research conducted with 397 small business across the U.S., two-thirds of business owners feel their businesses are strong. Over half of owners rate their companies as better (this year vs. 2015) in their ability to meet financial goals and stay financially secure – the hallmarks of financial well-being. High growth companies have seen even more improvement, with close to three-quarters stating that their financial well-being is better than a year ago. Business strength and financial well-being measures are up 31 percent and 15 percent respectively compared to 2015.
